Home Made Lovely- Rebekah’s Home Tour
Welcome to Home Made Lovely!
A weekly series featuring inspiring homes from around the blogging community.
I’ve asked each blogger the same question- “What does creating a lovely home mean to you?” Here’s what Rebekah shared…
Hello, my name is Rebekah and I blog over at A Bit of Sunshine. It was truly an honor when Heather invited me to be a part of the Home Made Lovely series.
If there is one thing my heart just loves it is making a sweet home for my family to enjoy! The story of the home that I am sharing with you today is so close to my heart. God generously allowed my family the opportunity to own this sweet house for the past three years. The first time we laid eyes on it something about the spirit inside made both my husband and I fall in love. We immediately knew that we wanted to make this house our home and when we moved in, we began updating it bit by bit, laying on our personal touches. Working hard with our hands and with the help of family and friends, it transformed into a lovely sanctuary, a deep blessing from the Lord.
God asked us to release this house back into His hands and we sadly, but confidently, moved only a few weeks ago. My heart aches for our beloved space, yet I know God has much in store for our family’s future. I thought it would be fun to share this space with you because it represents so much of what a lovely home means to me. It’s a space that does not have to cost much but should reflect the way your heart responds to the space you have been given.
Whether for a lifetime or a moment. Let me give you a little before and after tour today: When we first walked in this was what we saw – we loved the covered ceilings but the carpet, not so much.We ripped out the carpet and added a little paint to liven it up a bit.
